Frontend localization

edited January 2010 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
Hi.

I'd like to translate Vanilla's frontend into French, but I'm stuck since I can't find where the f these language strings are stocked. I checked each and every definitions.php but I'm unable to find what I'm looking for.

Any info?

  • @kallosz might be the one to ask since I haven't done any localization and the founders have been on a coding binge (and therefore quiet around here lately).
  • I'll just wait for an answer from the localization team, then. Thanks!
  • Heh, the "localization team" is mostly "the guys I've seen push fixes to the master branch related to localization" ;) It's possible @benno might know as well. (I'm name-dropping so it shows up in their notifications when they log in next).
  • Hello AddiKT1ve,

I think you might be interested in this topic: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/9899/locale-translations/ ;-)
  • Thanks @Spone, I would have found it if only there were a Search function on vanillaforums.org... Let's have a look at this thread.
  • Sorry I'm a few days behind - I've been away for two weeks.

Have you found the information you need @AddiKT1ve?
  • Kind of. Actually, I just won't use Vanilla, since I'm going to manage my project another way. Thanks however :).
