Changing and customizing addon theme "Vanillaforums.org"

edited August 2010 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
Hi, I've gone downloaded the free addon theme called "vanillaforums.org". I like it and it matches what I want to make as a theme. Though I want to redesign and customize the theme. I have very little knowledge with designing and developing Vanilla Forum themes and I think this would help me learn to build a theme from scratch. Here is what I'm asking on how I can re-design and customize this theme.

1. The Vanilla logo/banner at the top
2. Removing the links to other pages like blog, home, add-ons, etc.
3. Making a new "Powered by Vanilla" message. I want something like "Proudly powered by Vanilla", it sounds more classy ;)
4. Apply links to say the "Dashboard" link at the top of the community page. Because for some reason the link goes to /garden/settings. It needs to go to just /settings.
5. Giving users more number of tags.

So, if anyone could help me on this I would really appreciate it.

  • Most of that is in default.master.php

    #4 should be /dashboard/settings, FYI.

#5 is related to the Tagging plugin, not the theme.
