Hi, I activated the plugins and put the IDs keys, but I can´t login via social network - Twitter and Facebook, in Facebook login, he show the errors: "Provider is required" "Unique ID is required" "the connect data has nor beem verified".
@andy231, creating that /cache/Smarty/compile folder does indeed fix a bug in the code, but is unrelated to the Facebook/Twitter plugin problems.
ricardodepaula linked to the correct fix for the social connect problems. Sorry about this guys. The fixes are in our unstable branch of Vanilla, but I wanted to get the fixes up to you asap.
Here are the links to the files. You'll see that you can unzip them and replace them into their appropriate plugin folders.

Try following this howto: http://vanillaforums.com/blog/help-tutorials/how-to-add-facebook-twitter-google-and-openid-to-your-community/
It's not as simple as just enabling the plugins.
I think I have the same problem.
It is really weird, I followed the guide step by step.
I am sorry to bother you guys, but I really want to use the facebook and twitter for my forum.
Thanks Lincoln for you help.

Seems this is an issues?
I have a completely fresh install (done today) and I cannot use any other method of logging in, simply doesn't work
any fix released yet?
Just wanted to ask if somebody could send me his PHP file for the facebook plug in.
Maybe the error comes from this file in the plug in ? Because I think my facebook app is fine.
I'll try to replace it, and see what happens....
Thanks
I've successfully approved with both facebook and twitter but the "bonk" errors continue whenever I try and sign in with the connectors ?
Awesome feature - but doesn't work
The error occurred on or near: /nfs/c03/h01/mnt/47345/domains/**domain.com**/html/library/vendors/Smarty-2.6.25/libs/Smarty.class.php
Smarty error: the $compile_dir '/nfs/c03/h01/mnt/47345/domains/**domain.com**/html/cache/Smarty/compile' does not exist, or is not a directory.
creating this directory --- /cache/Smarty/compile ---
This SOLVES the problem - think this is a bug ?
I went to your forum and I see your facebook login works ?
How did you do that ?
Thanks
