time zone data

edited November 2010 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
Had requests for time zone support in my Google calendar plugin is this required elsewhere. I.E. would a timezone plugin be helpful to anybody else?

Comments

  • Vanilla 2 automatically figures out your timezone when you log in. Grab the HourOffset field from the User table.
  • The difference is that the timezone data i need comes from the tz list as calendars might be for any timezone not user specific as an event running in london at say 7pm does not need to be converted to EST.

If its not of use to anyone else ill just add it internally to my plugin. Was just asking if this is any use to anybody.

The default timezone can be set in the config file and you can get a list of them from PHP. I guess I'm not sure what you mean then.
  • nvm forgot php could give me the data directly.
  • where is this config file located please?
