This sounds like a requirement or server setup issue. Have you tried asking for help on the vanilla developer community forum?

Who is your hosting provider? They should be able to answer this for you.

You can check for yourself by placing <?php phpinfo(); ?> in a PHP file on your server and then visiting it. (If you give a link to it I'll have a look)
  • My provider is online.net

i did what you said here is the link :
    http://ohka.fr/infos.php

    and here is my vanilla
    http://ohka.fr/vanilla

feel free to create an account on it and try to post a comment if you want to see the error message

    thx very much
  • i send an email to my provider support with the vanilla's requirements
asking them to upgrade or enable the functionalitys vanilla need

they allready replace php4 (default for my provider) to php5
but i dont know how to check the rest of the settings like Mysql etc

According to this http://ohka.fr/infos.php you are still running PHP 4.4.9 so your host did something wrong. Link them to that page for reference.
  • will do thx for everything
