Better Advanced Search?

Is there anything planned to increase search capabilities? It seems very limited compared to something like phpbb.

    We are talking to some community members about developing search modules for better search engines like Sphinx and Lucine. I imagine we'll do a big overhaul of the search UI at that time as well.
