Fatal Error

I get the following error message when i go to mysite.com/vanilla

Fatal error: Class 'PDO' not found in /home/site name/public_html/vanilla/conf/config-defaults.php on line 16

Anybody know why? I have not edited any code prior to uploading

    Is this a new site? Did you confirm that you have PDO and its MySQL driver installed?
