Unable to set a Default Locale - dropdown list is void

I have just installed the latest version (Vanilla version 2.0.17.9) of Vanilla forum for the first time.

Apparently everything went smooth, and the forum is working properly.

Then, I downloaded this locale and enabled it:

http://vanillaforums.org/addon/spanish-locale

It was properly enabled, but the problem that I have is that I cannot set a Default Locale. The dropdown list where they should appear is empty

Just in case it was a permission issue, I have:

chmod -R 777 locales/

Does anyone know why this error may be occurring?

The solution is to add this like with your local information manually to config.php

// Garden
$Configuration['Garden']['Locale'] = 'en-US';

The bug is with the required php version, not with Vanilla.
