    For future reference should I just open bugs on github for "official" addons/themes?
    I figured this would be better since the addons aren't under garden in git.

    No, if the item is not in the core code base (i.e. is not a core plugin or theme) then reporting them here (as you did) is the best way to do it.

    My mistake, sorry. I thought it was related to the actual 2.0.18b4 release, but it's a theme problem.

    Oh apparently you guys added IP tracking to the core so the plugin I had was duplicating the information. Changelogs would be awesome to track this stuff.

    I agree. Unfortunately we weren't keeping one and now so much has changed it would take me an entire day to catalog it all. I'll attempt to keep one for the next one.
