How to subscribe to email?

Hi,

If a user clicks the bookmark icon, then they will receive alerts for reply in email. How to give email alerts if they participate on the topic?

If created a topic, or if make a comment to a topic, the user should be bookmarked for that post to get alerts.

How can i do this?

    profile/preferences for user.
    you can copy Default Preferences from config-defaults.php to config.php and make changes there to notify users via email when anybody comments on their discussions

    @prabhavathi Sounds like a feature that could be added to the Participated Discussion plugin. You'd need to make a list of users who have commented, and then see how many of them have a (new) custom preference set.
