Since day 1, I've had this error:
Analytics: Permission denied - Verification is required but failed. 
It pops-up on the lower left hand side of the page. This occurs with Google Analytics plugin installed or not. I once even tried to reinstall the entire software, but it still occurs sporadically.

Never installed AdSense either.
I have the same error.
I get error near the top of the dashboard. Any ideas?
I recently installed "stop forum spam".

What version of Vanilla are you running?
This error appears to be related to the built in statistics code. You can disable that by adding
$Configuration['Garden']['Analytics']['Enabled'] = FALSE;to your/conf/config.phpfile.Search first
