  • Shit :(

I really liked the idea they'd do a trilogy and stick with it.

Nothin on Newsarama or any other major comic book news site, unless there is something definitive, I call hoax. Avi Arad is only tied to Hulk 2 and Iron Man, then he is off to his new production company so I don't think he is in any position to promise anything so major. I believe that they might have some talk about it, maybe even a script or two (I believe Marvel has thousands of movie scripts, has allways had) but facts are flakey. Just a sidenote to anyone who watched the movie, is it just me, or is it just the current trend to completely discard the day night pace thesedays to highen the dramatic mood of scenes, because there was atleast two or three times when day and night just changed between shots at some parts of the movie. And mind I remind you (hehe, mind remind) that Marvel has already booked Wolverine and Magneto movies, it would be hard pressed to add another X-Men movie to that.
  • Apparently there's going to be a "Wolverine" movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/ and A Magneto movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499519/
  • whoops... just read your post kosmo... dangit
  • IMDB is horribly unreliable about stuff like this.

This is the closest I have found on anything official to X-Men 4.

"Despite the fact that X-Men: The Last Stand pulled in about $196 million in just four days worldwide (it cost approximately $210 million to make), Marvel Studios' Avi Arad tells Variety that they are going to move forward with the two spin-off movies instead of X-Men 4:

More likely, they'll be talking to their partners at Marvel about the next step for the franchise, since "Last Stand" was supposed to be the final film in a trilogy."

"The first reaction, which we should discard, is here comes 'X-Men 4,'" said Marvel Studios topper Avi Arad. "We're working on 'Wolverine,' which is definitely a continuation, and we have a very interesting script about a young Magneto."

Other than the flat out denial of X-Men 4, there is nothing about making it, it's just not happening right now.

I also have to add that there are talks about making Emma Frost movie and some sort of movie/project focusing on the younger students in the Xavier School for the Gifted.
  • I'd much rather have the spinoffs than another X-Men movie. I really liked their decision to do a trilogy. /me suddenly remembers there's a new Police Academy film and gets depressed.
