Cost for university-education?

  • I don't know about it in the rest of the Europe or US, but in Finland, higher education even if it is a job where you are "overqualified" guarantees your better salary. Two guys doing the same job, let's say coding web site architecture but the other only has a high school education and the other graduated from Uni, the guy with the University background will get paid sometimes half more than the other guy, pushing the same buttons. Plus, I have studied my whole life, and I'm going to keep doing it, because if at some point there is no job for me, I'm in a very different position to apply for new places than the hapless bastard that didn't care for education at the time. Ofcourse this is from a Finnish perspective, it might be completely different thing around the rest of the Europe. But a friend of mine has a University training, had his Masters. And he has travelled alot and has good job experience, and different companies around the world are actually calling HIM and offering jobs with high salaries and perks. And I don't know about you, but I want to be that guy, very badly.
