system counting comment

in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

how can i fix it easly
for example these test discussion topics were posted very recently
it shows "1 comment" but infact there is no comment there
additionally, the little "new" topic symbol also (the green one) also perfom wrong counting
beside showing new comments it shows the newness of the topic in the forum order
but with wrong a counting
i just want to learn if there is anyone who manage to fix it
because in this way it looks weird , i am tired of making explanation to my friends about this issue

    i really decided what i want
    i want to remove the number beside the "new" notification
    but only the numbers, the word "new" should maintain
    i tried it with css but when i make it invisible, the word "new" also dissapears
    could anyone show me the solution for this,
    i don't care of "comment" number anymore

    just want to remove the number of "new" notification

    In your locale definitions, place the following:

    $Definition['%s New'] = 'New';
$Definition['%s New Plural'] = 'New';
