Embeds from Flickr don't work for a single user

I'm using OEmbed on my forum and until now it has worked. However, now a single user is having problems.
He pastes a URL from flickr and a blank space is shown.
What could it be?

If someone pastes the exact same link in their comments, does it work?
What version of Vanilla are you running?

Something weird is going on with the link - I can see that he posted two links, one of them wrapped around the actual image. Do you have an example of a working Flickr embed?

I am using Vanilla 2.0.18.8.
Posting the same link on one of my own comments doesn't work.
He double posted trying to make it work.
Here is an example of a working embed http://www.fotocomefare.com/forum-fotografia/discussion/341/in-bilico/p1
Does posting just this link
http://www.flickr.com/photos/abulafiafoto/8632528618/
work?It appears he posted the html code given by flickr.
