Disable Default Gravatar

Is there any way to disable the Gravatar icon in my Vanilla Forum?
Right now, I've got it so all users connect via SSO with the main WP site where the Forum is hosted.
I've also removed the Gravatar plugin from Vanilla, to no avail.

What version of vanilla are you running?
You should be able to disable the Gravatar plugin through your dashboard. Do you not want there to be a default avatar at all? Or just something different?

Shoot - sorry, always gotta post the version: 2.0.18.8.
Good question, I actually just want to use a different image.
Ok a different default Avatar is what you want ? That is easy. You go into the plugin folder find the default image and replace it with the one you want . Delete the original or name it something else , and name your default that name. The same goes for any other images you want to substitute.

@vrijvlinder - I'm not sure where to find the default image. It's the gravatar 'G' image that is the default for my Forum.
It would likely be in the Gravatar plugin folder have you looked in there ? If you right click the default gravatar you can see where the link goes and see what folder it is in.

I didn't have the Gravatar plugin installed as I'd mentioned earlier.
So I tried installing it, then changing the default.gif to no avail.
I see my site is pulling the Gravatar from here: http://gravatar.com/avatar/2a221ceef605c43024542b3591dee4ea
I think it may have to do with the SSO with my WP site or something, but I'm not sure.
Ok then replace it in your WP use this plugin

Thanks for the links @vrijvlinder - I did some more snooping and I'm using a Vanilla Connect plugin in WP that automatically pulls the default Gravatar, which is why the "G" icon is so persistent.
Unfortunately there's no setting to disable pulling the default Gravatar, so looks like I'm stuck ATM.
Try the ad new default avatar , it overrides any others and still pics the gravatar if you want . You can change where it gets the gravatar if you can find which file does it then change the link to point to the one you want.

like for example in the wp-vanilla-connect.php
You can try to replace the links with your own to your pic .

you could do a small js script that replaces looks for specific image and replaces it.
