Most recent by [Deleted User] ?

I delete the spammer, select the Remove User Content, and when done, go to main Discussions page and the topic has:
Most recent by [Deleted User]
This did not happen before, but has now started.
We re-did the forum, upgrading it to Version 2.0.18.8
Before it would re-sink and change the Most recent back to what it was before the spammer posted.
Any ideas on what to do here?

Does editing the last comment update the "Most recent by x" line?

I think you have the same problem like this guy: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/comment/189183/#Comment_189183
Only problem, I am running the forum with basically no access to the database outside of the forum itself. It is on a VPS server that I do not have access to, and the server admin is kind of hard to get at times.
Also, I'm new to doing sql anyway, so have no idea how to do what that link says. I do appreciate the help, though.

Sneaky, but effective...LOL
Never would have thought that would work.
Good idea, my friend.
Same exact thing happened to me today. At first glance the SQL query here seems to have done the trick: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/comment/149808/#Comment_149808
