Hi,
I moved my forums from phpBB to Vanilla 6 months ago. I really like it however spam control is weak.
Bots manage to crack the captcha easily and they start spamming my forums heavily.
I'm seeing new bots registered everyday, I do use the "Stop Forum Spam" plugin.
I'd like to add a simple question along with the captcha solving.
Can anyone point me to any documentation or tutorial to do so ?
I think that'd really stop most spams from applying.
Thanks.
Mathieu.

Welcome to the community!
What version of Vanilla are you running?
I highly suggest the Akismet plugin. You can look at BotStop for an example implementation of what you are looking for.

you could also add to part B of this thread and once you find success you could add to part A.
it's still a bit sad no one participates on this thread....
