Calling All Forum Owners: Show Off Your Amazing Forum
I am working on a redesign project for the VanillaForums.org index page. We want to add screenshots of some of the more beautiful looking sites made with the open source product. I am looking for sites that have gone beyond the standard theme and into wow. If you think your site meets that criteria (or you know of one), please suggest it below. I will select a couple that will have their screenshots appear on the homepage. If you wish you can can also PM me directly.

I want to nominate @Phreak's site babyforum.at (particular the mobile experience).

@adrian
Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I get that visuals have the 'wow' factor, but I would suggest that functionality is, in the end, the more important factor.
@whu606, but in this case, I am trying to show how one can theme a Vanilla Forum (open source) to look lovely. Here is an one I have come across for example: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/
Functionality is important of course, but in this case, it's mostly to replace the current slider with more "Open Source" friendly visuals.
That Forum theme is AMAZING
@srrgamer I thought so
@hgtonight: Thank you for mentioning me, it's great to hear you like it. I can also recommend the mobile theme for http://www.babyforum.ch.
You might want to search for similar discussions, there are quite few, some non regulars on here, but some pretty impressive stuff.
grep is your friend.
@adrian
I get what you are looking for.
I just think that, down the line, something that showcased how plugins/adaptations etc can take a plain Vanilla forum and make it into pretty much anything a forum owner could want, would be a useful addition.
examples. I am looking for sites that look good and attractive. They
might not even be regular contributors here, but someone may have
happened upon it.
idea would be better as a separate thread? Right now I am pressed to
find screenshots. I am looking for sites that have gone beyond the
standard themes to inspire others. Kind of like the example I
mentioned. The might be of users who aren't even on this site. I did
search before asking, but I am looking for more than I could find, so
any and all help is appreciated. I am still searching as well,
Most of the best themes I can find seem to be on the hosted solution. The open source version is dominated by custom headers with a few color changes. Here are a few I found in the wild:

Thanks @hgtonight. I really appreciate it. I wanted to add a open source flavor to the .org website index. I figured it made sense to show self-hosted wizards.
I should also add it's very inspiring too!
@Adrian: Great idea!
http://discuss.howtogeek.com/latest/more I think this is Vanilla...
@srggamer it's discourse. I do know Vanilla can be made to look similar.
Oh dear At least the communities are diffrent
