Whenever someone posts a new comment inside a discussion, it doesn't update. The only time it updates correctly is when someone starts a new discussion. How can I fix this?

Most likely a bug. Update to 2.0.18.9 for security reasons.

Just got to my dev box. Gut tells me this is a conflict with another plugin. I will double check my code.

Works fine on my dev box:
I am sorry it didn't work out of the box in your set up. I am happy to work with you and find the root cause. LPL uses the discussion model to grab the latest posts. Any plugin that modifies or hooks into the discussion model may cause a conflict.
We can proceed once you list your enabled addons.
P.S. Thanks for trying my plugin!

Thanks a lot for your help!
Either do 2 things :
Disable all plugins except latest post list
Or
Disable all plugins that have to do with Discussions, except for Latest Post List, for example Discussion Polls
You know that a standard install will work, so ... find the conflicting plugin
Don't blame the plugin, just find the plugin for problem solving
