Is there a way to let users choose the default view for the forum?
Like /categories/all or /categories/discussions or simply /discussions.

I could see that being a useful addon.
Create a plugin that integrates with the preferences system. Then plug into the
Gdn_Router_AfterLoadRoutes_Handler($Sender)event handler and change the defaultcontroller route if the user has set up their default page.Search first
