how can a user mass delete private messages from their inbox?

ever since I switched from vb users have been bugging me about how to delete a few or all of their messages
would also be nice if it were possible for a user to download some or all of their private messages as txt, csv, zip etc. and ideally be able to search their private messages

There is no GUI for bulk deleting of private messages.
