Display User Badges in the Discussion Header
SeriousMartin
New
Hi,
I have a question concerning YAGA:
I would like to display badges in the dicussion header (best fit might be the AuthorInfo-span).
Could you give me a short hint which php-files I will need to change to achive this?
Regards, Martin

you could most like write your self a plugin that triggers on the event in that location, and pull the info out of the appropriate table where YAGA stores the badges for a specific user.
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
Not sure if that is a good idea. Take a look at that badge collection here in that link and imagine you would see it in every post...
op could always select one or two of the badges as well as get some ideas from rolebadges plugin. all badges could be overwhelming as you say r_j

Hi,
I have written a very basic plugin with the help of http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/25941/yet-another-gamification-application-how-to-add-ranks-as-titles and http://vanillaforums.org/docs/plugins.
Do you think "YagaDiscussionHeaderBadges" is a good name?
Martin
your proposed name is more descriptive (and probably conforms to germanic noun addition) and is more informative than
either YAGADHB - Yaga Discussion Header Badges
or DUBIYAGA - discussion user badges in yet another gamification application.
although I do like DUBIYAGA for the way it rolls off the tongue
YAGADABA - Yet another gaming application discussion award badge add-on.
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
This confirms my theory that people do like to add more junk to their page.

This idea reminds me of Steam's option to customize your community profile by featuring different things: achievements, workshop items, games, etc.
Not a bad idea.

I have released a basic version of the plugin: http://vanillaforums.org/addon/yagadiscussionheaderbadges-plugin
I suppose it would make sense to configure the maximum number of badges shown. The plugin could take those with the highest award value and the latest awarding time.
@hgtonight: I have build and icon based on your YAGA-Icon. Hope thats ok.
