WhosOnline Not Working with Vanilla 2.1

I just installed version 2.1 and tried to deploy WhosOnline. I am able to deploy the plugin but when I try to view/modify the settings, I get a blank page.

@peregrine - I updated the spreadsheet to reflect WhosOnline not working and I also tested jsConnect 1.4.1, that works as expected. Thanks.

I can concur that despite being "Approved", WhosOnline does not work with Vanilla 2.1.8. For me, there are no errors, just the sidebar never appears showing who is online.

I realize that an option is using OnlineNow, but our community doesn't use avatars much, I'd prefer the simple functionality that's in WhosOnline.

Try this an let me know if it works for you..

You can also modify online now plugin to not show the picture by replacing Photo with Name.

please how do i also add the number of guest online to the 'who's online' list, just as it displays on this forum?

you can't , that option is only for the paid version...but you could use something like this

@alishachris You would have to modify the base_render_before hook to track IPs for non-sessioned users. Then you would have to modify the module to read this data in along with the normal data.

Nothing too difficult, but I personally don't get the point.
