Active Directory - Current status?

Are there any plans to add a plugin or the sort for AD integrations? I have come across the opther threads in the forum and seen that people are using the People.Class.LdapAuthenticator.php - but i have not been able to find any instructions on it's use.... I'm brand new to vanilla...

What version number of Vanilla are you running?

Once you can get a user authenticated on your server, you need to set up SSO by using jsConnect. You can find more information about that in the Tutorials category.
