  • Yes, you are right. I don't know what problems users may have. I just thought I can add more info without adding so many side planels. I thought a sliding panel could help.

  • I am sure you are a good friend with scripting, but unfortunatelly it's not my case. I can only follow some indications, I don't know coding at all. At this moment this is only I can do. I found a script and tried to import it to the forum, but it seems I cannot escape of these conflicts. anyway, I thank you for your time and patience. All the best!

I don't think it really does what you want. it is for loading whole pages, which it mostly does in an iframe. From my understanding you don't actually want to load the content dynamically, you just maybe want to stash in an expandable div.

jquery ui has many functions. For controlling containers.

Personally I would just add the link to the side panel. You could collapse some of the boxes, in the side panel and have the expandable.

    grep is your friend.

I do not have time to tutor you but if you like my suggestion, maybe other like @peregrine or @R_J could help you. I would look at the jQuery UI site, for example of expanding collapsing styles.

    grep is your friend.

  • Now that you thought me how to add a script to the forum without changing the default.master.php, I will search for some jqueries that are doing something similar. I only want to add some quick links to other pages or some news, or maybe adding something like a small slideshow.

  • A nice jQuery plugin that creates hidden side menus is called Sidr: http://www.berriart.com/sidr/

    Works pretty well.

  • Yes, that's good one. I'll give it a try. Thanks
