Embeded + SSO: login page opening in iframe & theme trouble

Hi there,

I'm hosting a new forum and I'd like to use the comment embed functionality.
I've also implemented jsconnect to tie in with our user management.
All is working fine, except:

  1. I can't seem to find a way to choose a custom theme for the embedded code. I would like to use the embed theme for the embedded code and a different theme for the actual forum.

2. (This is more important): When I click "comment as" in the comment screen, my login screen is loaded in the iframe instead of on the whole page. Is there a way to force the parent page to load the login screen, and then smartly redirect back to the blog?

I could addapt my login page to fit into the iframe, but I'd prefer a full screen redirect.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

  • Update: point 2 can easily be fixed by disabling "Use popups for sign in pages.".
Point 1 is still a bit of a problem though :)

AFAIK, there is no way to specify a different theme for embedded vs. normal.

  • After hours of googling, I can only conclude the same thing.
Sounds like a very basic functionality that's been left out, to be honest...
And it could easily be added by adding a parameter in the embed.js scripts :/

Sounds like a great plugin to me!

  • I don't think it can be plugged in actually...
Sounds more like a patch is required.

    I'll look into it though.
