Could I hire someone to upgrade my forum?
I'm currently using release 2.0.18.13 and am interested in upgrading to 2.1.x (latest). I know I could eventually figure this out after a lot of work but I would be willing to pay someone to do it for me. Anyone interested?

PS. I apologize if this isn't the right spot for the question.

Perhaps someone will come along and do it, but seriously, this is something pretty much anyone could do for themselves.
It really shouldn't be a lot of work!

@MrCanadian was pretty much in your boat, but managed to upgrade with no trouble; see final comment here:

you could also duplicate using vanilla 2.1.5 as your ultimate goal.

if you want to test instead of installing.
also see

for some various comments and issues.
probably the main time consuming issues are backups.
copying source zip is not a time constraint.
some plugins may not work in 2.1 and some customized themes, if views and helper functions are modified might pose an issue.
you could test your theme and plugins with a duplicate test forum .
personally I don't like working with embedded forums.

Also note that our cloud service will typically import small Vanilla sites for free, which frees you from worrying about maintenance ever again.
