Issue with File upload

HI,
I've downloaded latest vanilla 2.1.5. When I upload image or attach any file with comment, It doesnt show up on the page. File upload version is 1.5.2.
I tried all the solutions given in other threads, that doesnt worked for me.

The editor is only available to hosted forums until Vanilla 2.3 drops.
I used File Upload version 1.7.1 with a minor modification to the thumbnail display.
Does anyone here use the latest version (1.8.4) successfully on 2.1.5?

aside from the 1.8.2 fix I made that works.

I modified the 1.8.4 plugin to make it work in vanilla 2.1.5, otherwise it won't work out of the box.
the mod is here and is called version 1.8.4.1:

Latest Vanilla v 2.1.5
File upload version 1.5.2 doesnt work on it.
So as suggested by you , downloaded latest file upload source from github-addons(i.e. file upload version 1.8.4 ) , and replaced class.fileupload.plugin.php with what attached here in this link : http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/28532/a-mod-to-file-upload-version-1-8-4-to-make-it-work-with-vanilla-2-1-5
