Vanillicon broken?

Been getting death/bomb looking vanillicons appears instead of unique ones generated from the users emails. Take a look. Any know ?

You probably need to update the plugin, the new ones Vanilicon 2 are much different... I actually like the death bomb, will take it to make a default avatar thanks!

assuming this is ok with vanilla folks. version 2 that is used on this forum would be accessed via

change in class.vanillicon.plugin.php

'http://w'.substr($Hash, 0, 1).'.vanillicon.com/'.$Hash.'_200.png';

and

'http://w'.substr($Hash, 0, 1).'.vanillicon.com/'.$Hash.'_50.png';

to

 'http://wd.vanillicon.com/v2/'.$Hash. '.svg';


until they come out with a new one.

you can use wa, or wb wc or wd etc.

It's on our side. That is a "bonk" for Vanillicon, basically. We're looking into it.

Coool, btw. for those still stuck with 2.0.X: The code of Vanilicon 1.0.1 works also with the old versions. Onpage-Performance hurray! Thanx @Linc and Team @peregrine for making me aware of it.

This has been fixed by @Todd now. Clear your browser cache to see the fixed images.

There is two issues with the code. The Vanilicons 2 are not displayed large on the profile site and they do not hold alt="" tags. Anybody can help me fix this?

Regarding the alt tag, that bug should be filed against the core repo. The large profile pictures in profiles don't have an alt attribute regardless of vanillicon.

@Bleistivt‌: Thanx i will test your fix out. I will file an Issue o GitHub. I'm currently hardening my forums against every single Google SEO recommendation and like to see if this has some impact.

It should already work with peregrines changes though, the images on profile pages are scaled to 200px width by the CSS class ProfilePhotoLarge
