Welcome Email - can this be changed easily in the dashboard, or can it be integrated with MailChimp?

As an admin I have a need to update the welcome email on a weekly basis and add new information.
What is the best and easiest way to amend the email with no backend access (or knowledge)?
Would it be useful to integrate this email with MailChimp and is that easily possible?

I would suggest using https://github.com/vanilla/addons/tree/master/plugins/CustomizeText and searching for 'email'.
It worked out of the box on my local server. Looks like it needs write access to
/conf/locale.phpwhich doesn't seem too bad.Search first
