For months now i have been battling spammers, I now have ver 2.1.8 I have set my registration to approval. but everyday I get 20+ "members for approval" it's a real pain you have to check the box to decline yes it's better than having to remove members who have joined as I done before. 90% are from Yahoo I know you can use ban eg: *.yahoo then that ban's all yahoo emails I have about 60 yahoo members. Has anyone the same problem if so what do you do?

@DenisS
This has been discussed on a lot of threads previously.
This plugin:
http://vanillaforums.org/addon/registrationrestrictlogger-plugin
allows you to add specific phrases to reject automatically, as well as cutting out a lot of spam attempts.
I use that in conjunction with this, which allows you to set a question that your users would know the answer to, but which a bot is unlikely to guess:
http://vanillaforums.org/addon/addregistrationquestion-plugin
With those two activated, I no longer have spambot applications getting through for approval.
Thanks i will try them,
You might as well want to use them twos (Anti-Spam and Stop Forum Spam) on your forum for future purpose.
I recommend the No Captcha ReCaptcha plugin by @x00. I use it in conjunction with the Akismet plugin, the Stop Forum Spam plugin, and a modified version of the BotStop plugin, and have only received little to no spam registrations since.
