    I'm having the same issue. I understand I'm bringing this up 5 years later, but has anyone found a fix? I've searched around a bit and haven't been able to find anything. Thanks!

    Do you understand that the software has gone through several changes since then?
    Something that worked for earlier versions is not going to work with the new one.So if something did not work for the old version , what makes you think it does now?

    @plr15 do a search for &$Sender and replace it with $Sender. I did that and it worked out of the box for me.

    @vrijvlinder I do understand. I was just wondering if in the past 5 years, maybe somebody found a solution to this problem. I've seen the Formatting plugin being recommended as recently as last year by the creator and I just wanted to leave a comment saying that there's evidently still a bug for some users.

    @hgtonight Thanks for the information! I saw the fix posted in the discussion from before, but it only mentioned to change one of them. I changed all three and now it works!

    I was just wondering if in the past 5 years.....

    Considering that Vanilla has changed quite a bit in just 3 years, going back five is a stretch of the imagination no?

    You could have searched the tutorials and found one about how to fix old plugins for 2.1 Because some require a bit more than ampersand removal from the $Sender in order to work. So I am leaving the link here....
