I cloned the 2.1 branch today. On my local machine I can get to the installation page by going to /vanilla, but when I uploaded it to my 000webhost account, I get a blank page. I tried deleting the files, cloning the repo again, and uploading it, but I'm still getting the same issue. I added $Configuration['Debug'] = TRUE; to my config.php, but when going to /vanilla, I just see that same text get printed.

It may be you need a higher version of php .

I believe 5.3 is the required version.

On the GitHub page it says "Vanilla 2.1 will be the last version to support PHP 5.2."
