Cleaning up URLS - 404 not found
Keegan
New
Prefacing this by saying I've done a ton of forum searching, and see a few others have also had this issue and find a fix by usually editing the .htaccess file. But, I have no idea what needs to be changed as everyones .htaccess file is different. As well, I'm using some hosting from asmallorange and using cPanel for all my website management.
What I'm trying to do
Vanilla is great, but its default links are a little ugly. Trying to make the urls easier to read and navigate.
What I've done so far
- Edited the conf/config.php file so that ['RewriteUrls'] is set to TRUE.

What's going on
After I made the conf/config.php change, I'm getting a 404 on all my site now. Not too fun.
Would love some help, going to continue searching the forums and trying things.

Beautiful! Got my site working again. But load times seem to be higher, is this because it's re-writing each url as I click?
No. Unless you have made other changes to the original .htaccess file, there should be no noticeable speed difference.
