It is non-trivial to set up.

But it is so much better than mysql fulltext search.

Non-distributed, just like you can put non-destributed addon on your site and no-one can force you to release them.

Effectively much like sphinx search addon though, using sphinx.

From that page:

The addons with an asterisk are currently only available on our cloud hosting but may have near-equivalents available from the community.

The near equivalent is Sphinx Search.
