Markdown and new line

Hello guys,
I really like Markdown and I do want to use it but I have a problem with new lines.
When I type something and I want a new line, I have to make it a double line in the editor.
I'm not sure if I made myself clear .. I'll try and reproduce here.
Example:
Text here
Newline here
Will produce:
Text here Newline here
Which is not my intent. Anyone has any suggestions on how I could fix this ?

This will be fixed in upcoming 2.2.
Type 2 spaces at the end of the line for now.

I was just wondering how this website managed to do it ... as it work flawlessly.
