Fork on github with subscribe/unsubscribe

Hello!
I have forked your plugin on github: https://github.com/pkonecki/DiscussionEvent
I have added a subscribe/unsubscribe feature and planning to add more features (calendar view and maybe other stuff).
New code is pretty raw atm, I plan to do a refactor using views for the guest list part.

Cool that you are extending it. You may have seen @R_J 's Event Calendar, maybe there are ideas that can be knitted together. http://vanillaforums.org/addon/eventcalendar-plugin
I think that showing or hidding for certain categories would be an important feature because for example in my case i have the category "Events" and i wouldn't want my users to misuse it on other categories. A smart solution would be if the option only appears if the select option of the specific category is chosen.
Maybe you can use some of that code: https://github.com/R-J/EventCalendar
@phreak @R_J I had found the original code for EventCalendar and I'll probably add/port some of its features (the calendar as an option seems interesting). I know a CSS warrior who is willing to help me so there's gonna be some visual tweaks as well.
@phreak Yes indeed, the plugin needs a more sophisticated permission management, my users are currently going haywire, putting events here and there when there's no real need. Also I might add an option to filter events shown in the sidebar by categories.
Thanks!
Sounds good. If you need CSS help, i can support that too. Just let me know.
Btw. i'd like to take a look at your community. Wanna drop me a PM?
Sent.
BTW I would have posted this in the development section since it seemed more appropriate but since it's restricted I guess it's more for Vanilla & core Vanilla addons development.
@pkonecki
I don't think so.
It's pretty much open to those who ask.
A shout out to @Linc might do it.
Is this plugin still being maintained at all?
