is there a way to include both discussion titles and comments in a single query?

(yes, this is a ploy to make an improved namewhore)

    No. Sorry. The searches are quicker now than I've ever had them on any forum before. If I combine the topic and comments in one search, it will slow everything down hugely. The search is the one place where I've been a big stickler because I know how shitty (read: slow) search pages can get.

    As I understand it the above question is about searching for both posts and thread titles at the same time. Is it possible to search for thread titles in any way at all? We've just upgraded and are really missing being able to find old threads.

    This is about Vanilla 1 from 2005. Search for Vanilla 2 is currently being worked on to improve it.

    What's the current status of improved search?

    I keep expecting to see it in the next release and it never appears.
