  • thanks krak i knew u would like it :) hopefully these mockups will help someone. or not :)
  • Anyone working on this?
  • That possible, but that is quite a big job, you need to:
    - Add a permisson "Don't require moderation" and one "Can moderate post"
    - Add a field to the discussion and comment tables for post that need to be checked by moderator.
    - Change most of the methods of the discussion manager and comment manager classes to take care of that
    - Add a page that would list the message in the queue
    - Add a link in comments to approve or reject post.
    - Lot of testing

There is nothing complicated but it is lot of work.
  • add category moderation as well. not all categories need moderation. plus if a comment is inappropriate for a category. instead of rejecting it. move it to the correct one. I guess this all can be done for Vanilla 2.0 :)
  • :-( Shame. I really wanted to use Vanilla for this client. Guess I should have learnt PHP.

I'm not sure but if your willing to pay for it. then someone should be able to help you u can always approach mark personally, if its an important client
  • Any further developments so far?
  • Yes, I have asked for the same thing too, would be a great addition like MySchizoBuddy showed it :)
  • One thing I would add to the mockup above would be a third option of "decide later" so you can have a think about a post and not accept or decline the post at that time.

Would rock to have this add-on.

And whispers should not be needed to be approved.
EDIT: If whispers are not to be approved, then editing them to a public comment should.
  • but new discussions should :)
  • Not if they are a whispered discussion ;)

    Tex, completely agree.
