Why Vanilla Forum not put related post or similar post after discussion?
This question was long in my brain. Why Vanilla forum not have related post or similar post like Kaskus, Quora, Discourse, Xenforo, Vbulletin, etc?
I think similar post or related post is very important to get more visitor and pageviews. This is very good for search engine optimization (SEO). If you not put similar post or related post one visitor only open one page discussion.
For example, you need 200 visitor for get 200 pageviews. If you put related post or similar post you can have more 200 pageviews. May be you can get 300 pageviews.
Just example like Quora
I have a vanilla forum --> http://www.bertravel.com/forum this forum not have related post or similar post from vanilla. So i put related post from other. I use Feedwind related post in desktop version and use Feed Surving-Waves for Mobile site.
Related post from Feedwind and Surving-waves can increase pageviews my forum.
So i hope and very hope team developer can create related post feature for us. Plugin may be or auto like Wordpress etc.
This not Quora promotion, but I hope Vanilla the best software forum opens ource in future.

The Sphinx Search plugin comes with a related topics plugin. But it is not trivial to set it up.

I think related post must have in default theme like Wordpress, xenforo, vbulletin, etc
user can enable or disable this.
For the actual reason you have to understand the limitations of mysql and performance.
If you expect the kind of feature of well known site that has plenty of investment, as an amateur and "out of the box" this is wishful thinking on your part. If anyone can do it they already would be doing it.
Luckily is your case you can can use sphinx search to provides such a feature and this is the feature of a search engine not a standard database. This is primarily down to the mathematical models.
However do not assume you can readily replicate the feature or infrastructure of well know site, without the resources and technical ability. That is part of the reasons those site are successful.
Starting out being smart about what you can do with your resources is key, rather than replication of well know social media.
This is something I regularly tell clients. Some get it more than others, but it need to be drummed home.

@haryono I am agree with you that related topic is very important. Visitors will feel at home in the forum. To make this official plugin is a good idea. I am waiting this

If it is not used, it will not end up being official.

I used vanilla 2021012, I install similar tagged plugin not work. I install discussion topic plugin not work, and I Install spinxsearch I got error "Daemon not run".
So sad. What's it like or screenshot of not worked?
