Vanilla 2.5.x backup and restore
thanh_tan
New
Hello,
I need to move vanilla forum to new server, i use Ubuntu and EasyEngine as Nginx management.
I wonder that I can use export plugin from 2.2 for 2.5? Or any solution for 2.5 back up and restore?
Thanks

If you use mysql you could use mysqldump to backup forum db and mysql to restore it.
Don't consider using the porter. That is not for moving a Vanilla forum.
There are a few discussions already talking about that:

Yes, but still have some plugins and setting on file, how to backup it?
In addition to your DB, you might want a copy of your uploads folder, which will include any avatars your users have chosen.
You can also copy some or all of the plugins folder, but be aware that you should test each plugin, as some may not work with Vanilla 2.5 out of the box.
How you do this will depend on your server set up. FTP would be one way to go.
There is nothing in Vanilla to do this for you.
