How do I customize Vanilla forums to my taste
Yourssolomon
New
I am new to using vanilla. I came all the way from WordPress.org; I'd like to know if vanilla is as flexible as WP.
Here are some of the thing I'd like to fix:
*How to update vanilla to the latest version.
*How to modify and add more fields to the sign up page
*How to remove breadcrumb around the header image
*How to change theme color
*How to remove vanilla logo and add more widget to the footer.
Thanks

Welcome to the community.
In terms of updating to the latest version of Vanilla, simply download it from here:
https://open.vanillaforums.com/addon/vanilla-core and read the, er, README
In terms of theming, I'd suggest you have a look here:
https://open.vanillaforums.com/discussion/28420/frequently-asked-questions#latest
You might want to have a look at this example theme, with annotated css:
https://open.vanillaforums.com/addon/annotatedcss2.1-theme, but you'd need to add the json file added here to get it to work with 2.5:

For adding fields, take a look at this discussion:

Thanks for the response. I will take a look at the links and update this thread asap
