could someone explain to me what's so great about yellow fade? it seems like everyone wants it, but all it does for me is annoy my eyeballs.
this is a sincere question. it just tells you what's new on the page, right? usually i can figure out what's new after i reply, since i just typed the new part.
I downloaded the add-on and can not get it to "fade yellow". I unpacked to "extensions dir and activated, no fade. What am i doing wrong?
EDIT- what in the world?? Check this out---goto www.mytimewithgod.net/forum and at the top click on "scroll down" and watch the footer fade yellow. Then, from the bottom, click on "scroll up" and watch the header fade yellow. Trippeeee
For some reason http://www.mytimewithgod.net/forum/ refuses to do anything except give me a 412 error, while refusing to tell me why (it says I am somehow breaking The Rules, but not which one).
Anyway, for an extension to work, you need to enable it in Settings -> Extensions
Humm, i am using some rules in htaccess that may be blocking you. If you want, give me your address and i will see what is going on. I unpacked to "extensions" dir and activated.
Thx again. Found the color values within function.js.
Now it's a bluefade extension
btw. wouldn't it be cool if the color fade would be configurable via preferences?
Let say - the settings browser window provides some kind of color picker and let the admin pick a color. After this the extension combines it with #fffff as the other color and calculates the fade steps and saves them to function.js array. Well it's a very basic idea. I don't know anything about JS and php.
Hi all...
just added YellowFade and it is working in Firefox, but not in IE7.. is this a compatibility issue?
also, even when I change fade value to 14 in .js file, it is still fading twice. any suggestions?
Hello,
I have 1.0.3 and am trying to add Yellow Fade
1. I unpacked it
2. created a folder in extensions called 'YellowFade'
3. added the default.php
4. added the functions.js to the js folder AND the YellowFade folder (to be on the safe side)
5. enabled in in admin
Nothing happens.
I got it working a couple of years ago on a different site but no luck this time :-)
any ideas?
Thanks

Would it be possible to let a posting fade in another color than yellow? Would this be very hard to accomplish?
