  • Wtg! looks good to me, clean and simple enough.
  • Yeah, it looks pretty good. Adding icons for comments, permalink and edit is a neat idea, it fits well with the bookmarking icons.
  • cool! 10x :)
now, if you could only make all the links customisable/localisable... in the blog settings pane?.. or am i asking for too much? :)

Personally it should be 1 Comment (then 2 Comments) rather than Comments 1. Otherwise fantastic job.
  • @MySchizoBuddy - New interface looks beautiful!
  • @ADM in some languages it gets tricky because of cases, so having it 'Comments: N' would be better
  • Well you could have 2 definitions .. one for comment and one for comments. Then for those languages who don't have a plural for comment can replace both definitions with the same word.
  • I'm having some issues with Pagination.. is the proper format for clicking on a second page? http://www.site.com/extension/2/2/?PostBackAction=Blog I copied the .htaccess bit from the first post and that is the result I'm getting, but it loads a 404 when I click it.

AMD - as i said it is not about plural/singular, it is about cases. believe it or not some languages have 14 (estonian, hungarian, finnish) and suffixes differ vastly :) so, in some languages, say, in 'four comments' and 'five comments', the word 'comments' will have different endings

For whatever it's worth, I don't like the newer interface mostly because the copy is much longer. I think the ideal length of a line of text for readability is around 10 words or so. Or so I've read. I didn't mind the original layout with the info on the left because it compartmentalized everything nicely.

As for the social bookmarking links, even though I don't see the value in them in this context, I figure anyone who knows what they are for will know them by icon alone. Removing the titles will save lots of room and allow for even more to be added. I would however ensure each icon has and alt/title tag associated with them.

Skube that can be done by assigning max width to the container. right now its floating layout, so it will be extended as far as u stretch the browser window
  • Yes I agree the power of CSS allows for much to be re-arranged. How do you envision images being placed in the latest mockup? Would text flow around like the initial mockup? Would the image dimensions be forced (like profilie photos) to create a unified look and feel?
  • Speaking about images, I'd love a feature allowing to add a generic picture from a predefined list to each blog post. Something like a drop down menu with a list of thematic images put in a dedicated folder. Maybe an option to put this image above the text and centered, or floating left with the text on the right, etc.
  • Images can be placed the way u want them to be. if ur going to do word wrap then make sure u properly clear the floats. There is a bug in vanilla that clearing floats makes the post stretch to the size of the panel, cause the panel is floated left. I do not know of a way around it.
  • MySchizoBuddy- Has the new interface been added to the download or is it still in production?

so far so good. except that

    - the year is 1969 :)
    - the 'more' tag is now not formatted properly in the permalink view
    - see no point in having both 'permalink' and 'click to read more' links, especially now, that they are so close to each other (even though they are leading to different pages)
= the header and the footer for each entry have coloured backgrounds; but they have different left-margins. doesn't look right. what about having the same margin but nudging the footer-content to the right through padding (if you feel like it should be nudged at all) ?
  • i fixed the year thing, right after i uploaded it and uploaded it again. I guess ur too fast
what do u mean the more tag is not formatted properly. screenshots?

I cannot take the permalink out. people expect it to be there. crazy people.
ok will fix the footer margins.
