A Sneak Peak: Digg, A New Vanilla Theme

My only concern is that the discussion listing is quite large and to display 50~ discussions at once would use up a lot of space...
The font size can be adjusted, right now I'm using 150% font-size for the discussions titles and I personally like the white space. A lot of space is good since it's free right?!
1. the whole 'digg controversy' seems to revolve around those yellow boxes, which I personally do not like anyway. It seems that having the day and the year numbers in one line is not really logical, and those of us who use localised versions may not like the month-format either. If I remember correctly, Zero has 'complained' about this already regarding the Grace theme. So, why not trying to come up with smth else (and that woudl mean less diggish) for those boxes?
2. What really gives this theme its style is the background and teh rounded corners. But if you are after 'style' here, why not trying smth more jiffy than a plain colour? Say, Smashing Magazine has given away a nice WordPress theme recently (I know-I know, it is styled after Veerle's blog, but so what, since we are in the 'styling after' business anyway...)
1- I got rid of the yellow boxes and I think you're right about the day and year numbers being in one line but also the date format can be changed very easily and here's an example:
'.date('M', d', y'). = month, day, year
Can be changed to:
'.date('d', M', y'). = day, month, year
Or just:
'.date('d', M'). = day, month
So anyway, I'll change that.
2- Yeah I'm trying to bring in style to the forum and make it look more modern but also I'm trying to leave some room for site's owners to change things around. I prefer to leave the theme flexible. Say, you don't like the top right corner flower? No problem, just delete the header background and the theme still looks good.
Btw, I do like that theme and I may do something similar and more colorful.
Thank you for your suggestions.
I've done some modifications to it and I should be able to release it soon for Vanilla 1.1.3
Thanks!
