Anyone telling you anything else is either clueless or won't pay the required fee. I paid for it years ago and I'm still getting all the upgrades free. The makers are open to suggestions and answer support requests personally and promptly.
I've used them all, I know people who were convinced Transmit or Cyberquack or some other wannabe app was the best until they were in a situation (my training class) where they had no choice but Interarchy. They are now converts (pirates but converts 'cos they still won't pay for it).
It' simple, no nonsense, powerful but elegant just as any app should be. Try it in demo mode, tell me I'm wrong and I'll eat my hat!
:P

then choose "British English" in the dialog, under "dictionary"
I forgot the shortcut on english keyboard but you'll learn it quickly. I'm doing this several time a day to switch between French/English
Also, look in "System Preferences"->international. You can add British English on top ot the list of preferred languages, then English then… Thus, applications menus will use British when they know it.
Give yourself a few more weeks and you'll find you were not ripped off paying that little (or lot) extra.
There is a priceless and hard-to-define something extra you get with a Mac (and OS X) that you should discover quite soon.
I am forced to use XP all day at work now and I surely took my Mac and OS X for granted. Every, and I mean every PC app they throw at me is inferior in oh so many ways to my Mac alternative. I'm in tears most days by 11:00.
Terminal: you must have saved a terminal configuration file as default running this ssh. Or it is in the shell startup script.
