Wordpress + Vanilla + Mediawiki

edited August 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hi there! :)

I'd like to setup a website, which's main CMS should be Wordpress and then there should be Vanilla and Mediawiki being integrated as well.
I know, that there are bridges from Vanilla to Wordpress and from Vanilla to Mediawiki.

Before i start - are there any hints or no-gos to be aware of?

And what's the best way to deal with the bridges?

Would be great to get some advice - any help appreciated! :)

  • Ask your self do you really need the users to sign up on wordpress, other wise there is no point in intergrating vanilla and wordpress. Not sure about Mediawiki
  • yes. one account for all 3 elements would be great! :)
  • Well you might have a problem since the Wordpress/Vanilla integration relies on Wordpress authentication. You'd be more stable if you find two that integrate based on the third.
  • Yep - that's what i am supposing, too... Maybe it's simply the fastest way to run a local test-installation and see what happens...
Thanks to all. I'll let you know who things are rolling! :)
