    bump… 5 years later, i'm wondering if this is still possible. Just ran into a situation where I'd like to migrate away from IBP forums to vanilla. the ONLY thing I want to save would be the usernames/passwords.

    I don't know if IPB has its own password hash or that they're still using MD5
    Try to see if the porter plugin can help, otherwise, just make a new topic and we'll figure out how to transport users and maybe posts.
