Manage spam always empty

My "Manage spam" page is always empty, no message is present. However, recently I had a couple spammers insert some discussions. How should this list work?

I think that is a feature which comes as part of the hosted Vanilla solution reactions, where you can flag something as spam.
I suggest the StopForumSpam & Akismet addons.
